Large frame Balmar alternators deliver the power to handle larger battery banks and greater demands typical of offshore power and sailing yachts. Used in conjunction with Balmar Multi-Stage Regulators, these extra-high output alternators are designed to supply the sustained charging output required to meet big house and inverter loads while supporting extraordinary battery demands. All large frame alternators include an isolated ground.
Premium, extra-large case 98-Series alternators provide maximum power (up to 5 kw) to meet the challenging demands of commercial, military and luxury pleasure yachts. Rugged brushless design, built with oversized bearings and a 7/8" shaft. Case diameter is 6 7/8".
