I use this freezer on my boat for freezing fish and shrimp. It will freeze shrimp and fish overnight and not suck the life out of my battery. The little compartment above the motor unit allows you to have cold items while freezing the fish in the big compartment. So even thou they say you cant do both at the same time you can. Great unit I would recommend this unit to anyone for boat or RV use!!! A+++++
