I got this watch for a multi-hull regatta. I wore the watch while launching the cat where it got wet. Shortly afterward, I noticed a drop of water under the face. The next day, the watch face was fogged over and it didn't work. Don't waste your time and money on this product.

Got this watch for regatta timing. It worked ok for a while but then lost the beeper sound after a year.

This sailboat racing timer works well. It has a sync function that I use a lot, which allows you to sync the countdown if you are a few seconds late when you hit the start button. So far I have not had water resistance or scratching problems, but I only use it for racing. I wish the watch function had seconds as well as hour and minutes, which would help to time the length of the start line. Very good for the price.

Bought 3 of these for all the sailors in the familty. Nice timing features etc but durability and water repellancy are in question. First one died when knocked against the boom and second and third both died in capsizes where they were in the water for less than 3 minutes and no more than 2 feet in depth. Dont' believe the water resistance numbers quoted as these die if they are submerged for a minute or more.

This is a great watch for racing sailors. Easy to use and set for starts and restarts from expert to youth.
