My employer had hired someone(previous to my employment) to find a leak from on deck into a cabin, the individual installed these inspection hatches to do just that, inpect the area. Little did they know that these hatches would add to the leaking issue because they ARE NOT waterproof, nor does BOMAR indicate that on the packaging or in the product description. I had to actually call the company to verify this, they were however very helpful on the phone.
