Was very excited to purchase the HD 8061 hour/tach meter, to find after quick installation and 10 K mile flight from USA that the 8061 is the old model. Only reads engines having 1 spark per revolution, on 2 sparks per rev engines like 2 stroke outboards doesn't work properly, so stay away from this meter if that's your case.
WM should stock the new HD 8061-2 model that's been market releasd 8 months ago, has spark timing and works fine in all 2 & 4 strokes engines.

This hour meter/ tachometer is perfect for many different applications. This one I'm using on my rebuilt John Deere Lawn Tractor. It is easy to install and it takes up very little space on the little dashboard. I love it. Warren
