With a low-profile design and horizontal or vertical discharge positions, these versatile pumps are a great choice for narrow/low clearance bilges where others just won't fit. Strainers are designed to leave a minimum water level of just 3/8". Twist-lock assembly/ disassembly makes these pumps easy to clean. Following on the heels of the original award-winning design of the Super Sub 500, the new Super Sub 650 features a built-in electronic switch and increased capacity of 650gph.

Comments about Super Sub Pumps:
All seemed great. Looks nice has nice techical features.
BUT the front screen bumps off easily. Imagine a boat that rocks. When that is off the pump cant get the last water and so pumps continuously until impeller burnout. Happened the FIRST time rainwater got in the bilge. LuckY I checked.
Pros
- Easy To Install
- Easy To Use
Cons
- Leaks
Best Uses
Comments about Super Sub Pumps:
This seemingly nice pump failed with massive leakage after a week. It is not sealed, but has an o-ring and tightening collar to seal the motor. This just doesn't work for a submersible bilge pump. Whale manual pumps are great, but stay away from this one!
Pros
- Attractive Design
- Easy To Install
- Easy To Use
- Quiet
Cons
Best Uses
Comments about Super Sub Pumps:
I put this pump in a very tight space below the cabin, where nothing else would fit. It hooked up easily - as any pump should, and moves enough water to keep me at ease. I haven't had it installed long enough to judge longevity yet, but so far it looks like a good deal.
Pros
- Attractive Design
- Quiet enought for stealth
- Streamline shape a plus
Cons
Best Uses
- Kayak live bait tank too
- Paddleboard Bait Tank
Comments about Super Sub Pumps:
I use this pump to provide continuous circulation for the live bait well that I have rigged up on my paddleboard, that I use for ocean fishing. This pump runs continuously for several hours each outing in very harsh salt water environ, and yet is low-profile enough not to hinder my progress when paddling through kelp and over long distances. It is quiet enough to stalk easily spooked fish, and has kept my live bait lively (including a dozen squid once), helping me to hook some trophy fish. My fishing rig would certainly not be the same without this awesome Whale Super Sub.
