    Comments about Spreader Boots:

We had a pair of these spreader boots on the boat new from the dealer, they lasted 6 years, looked a bit shabby by then, still functional, but shabby. I replaced them with the molded type of boot. They lasted barely a year, split, deteriorated (in the Florida Sun) and had to be replaced. Replaced them with this product, the same as the originals.

Very robust, easy to install (no need to remove the shrouds) and very effective at reducing sail chafe.

Only, very minor, issue is the need to wire in the shroud to the end of the spreader, not totally necessary but belt and braces. I expect this pair to last at least 6 years, then I may wash them!
