Next generation, SeaTalkhs network-compatible open array digital radar systems take radar technology to a whole new level with Super HD Digital technology. Super HD Digital brings the power of advanced digital signal processing to radar with a truly adaptive transmitter and receiver that automatically adjusts to changing environmental and sea conditions for hands-off ease of use. Super HD Digital signal processing reduces the effective antenna beamwidth, enabling increased resolution and performance. Packing the performance specs of radar systems twice the physical size and power output, Super HD Digital radar delivers a dramatically clearer radar picture with crisp, well-defined contact echoes and life-like target presentation. It provides full color digital radar with highly advanced features like expanded dynamic range and an auto-adaptive transmitter receiver. Its wide receiver bandwidth and high-speed digital processing detect weak and distant contacts that are invisible to traditional analog radar systems, while virtually eliminating clutter, noise and false echoes. Dual-range mode enables you to keep a watch on nearby traffic while also monitoring for distant targets, while selectable coastal, harbor and offshore automatic modes take the guesswork out of choosing the right settings. For use with C-Series Widescreen, E-Series and G-Series Multifunction Displays. To build your Open Array Antenna you must order a pedestal, one scanner, and one pedestal cable.

Comments about Super HD Digital Radar Scanner:
I navigate a 48' sportfisher through a narrow channel to the mouth of the Columbia River, often in adverse conditions. Radar is absolutely necessary, as I encounter boats in the narrow channel, and the Columbia River bar is treacherous enough without fog. With three displays on the bridge, I can view radar separately or overlay it on chartplotters. With AIS and high power radar, I can locate fishing and transport boats anywhere within miles of my location. I won't leave home without it.
