These speakers are slightly more expensive than competition, but believe me they are worth it. Better sound and much longer life span. Competition speakers had maybe two good years before sound began to degrade. These speakes are in their 5th year on my boat and sound good as new

My Chaparral came stock with Clarion. Was not too pleased with those so I changed them out to these JL Audio and I am just amazed by the quality these speakers produce. I don't think speakers can get any better than this. They are kind of expensive, but you also get what you pay for. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
