Comments about 50 Star U.S. Flags:
This purchase was a replacment of the identical item, which self-destructed in 4 months of use in just moderate winds (Caribbean).
Actually this replacement was returned to West Marine due to a shipping error and I obtained a refund allowing me to purchase another brand locally; I will see how that holds up. BTW I have been buying these flags for 30 years, they seem to be getting more fragile.
Pros
- Attractive Design
Cons
- Before shredding to rags
- Flimsy Construction
- Lasted fewer than 4 weeks
Best Uses
- Indoor display
Comments about 50 Star U.S. Flags:
Hoisted the flag on our backstay on July 3, and it looks great for the first two weeks. We were delayed in getting back to the boat until July 31. The flag was shredded in normal South Mississippi summer weather. An embarrassing disappointment.

- Easy To Use

Comments about 50 Star U.S. Flags:
I have purchased a new 16"x24" US flag every year at the Sturgeon Bay, WI store for the past seven years. Last year, the flag really faded, the nylon seemed not as robust as the flag frayed much faster than usual. Heck we have a five month boating season. I ordered our US Flag from Prestige Flag out of San Diego and I have to say, it looks great. We'll see how that brand holds up.

Comments about 50 Star U.S. Flags:
The Taylor-Made flag stitching held up well to full time use, but the blue field totally faded.
We have been full-time cruising for ten years and expect to replace our ensign at least once a year. We've had this flag for only 8 months and need to replace it already.
I would not recommend this flag for other than occasional use.
