Comments about Cast Bronze Threaded Nipples, NPT:
Bronze is the correct material for marine plumbing that will handle raw seawater. Do not use brass, or mix brass, stainless, or bronze fittings together as this results in a galvanic reaction. Brass fittttings do not hold up to the corrosive salt water environment. Bronze is the proper choice.
This fitting is of superior quality, and includes wrench flats in the middle to aid in tightening the fitting.
