Used this item when racing my C&C sailboat in the caribbean. Retired from racing and now this product is perfect for extracting oil from my home lawn mover. Does it in seconds. And makes oil change clean, fast and causes one to want to follow maintenance schedule.

Comments about Manual Oil Changer 2.85 Quart:
I used this pump for oil changes and also to pump water from nooks and crannies. It worked well but lost suction after about one year. I tried to get parts to replace the felt "pistons" that appear to have worn out but was told no parts are available.
Pump may be ok for oil but not for other fluids.
Pros
- Was Okay When It Worked
Cons
- Not Reliable

Comments about Manual Oil Changer 2.85 Quart:
We bought this unit to change the oil in standby generators. We used it 2 times and it worked satisfactorily. When we tried to use it again it didn't work. Hopefully, it was just a defective unit and it doesn't happen again.
Service and delivery comments:
Fast delivery and defective unit was replaced without questions.

Comments about Manual Oil Changer 2.85 Quart:
Bought this to do my first oil change on a Yanmar 2GM. The pump is durable. Can't see through very well but you can still see the level of oil in the container. Works very well taking about 15-20 min to empty the oil from the engine.

Comments about Manual Oil Changer 2.85 Quart:
This oil changer gets used solely for extracting oil from my daily driver. Since I do not have room to store ramps or jacks, this fills the void perfectly and allows me to change the oil in my car without the use of any tools or lifting the car (besides removing and replacing the vehicle's oil filter.)
Pros
- Makes maintenance easy
- Simple to operate
Cons
Best Uses
- Small Boats
- Yanmar Diesels
Comments about Manual Oil Changer 2.85 Quart:
I was actually avoiding the annual service on my Yanmar 3GM30 (24HP diesel) due to the inaccessibility of the dipstick "hole" and the desire to keep my engine space oil-free. The engine holds about 3 qts of oil, so the smaller model of oil changeer was perfect. The job was incredibly easy, and took about 20 strokes on the pump to do the entire process. The only mess is getting all of the oil out of the suction lines, but I ended up putting a vacuum on the lines by holding my finger over the end, then release the vacuum, and virtually all oil was pulled into the tank.
This is a high quality product that will encourage you to take better care of your engine through more frequent oil changes. I highly recommend (and I do work for West Marine.)

Comments about Manual Oil Changer 2.85 Quart:
Just the right size for my Yanmar 3cyl. If you have a larger engine get the larger size. It's actually kind of fun to watch this thing suck the oil out after a few pumps. Glad I didn't spend the money for an electric pump.

Comments about Manual Oil Changer 2.85 Quart:
I'm relatively new to power boating (long time sailor) and wanted to change the oil on my Yamaha F60 engine with the boat I recently got. This oil extractor was perfect for the job and couldn't have been easier. If you have a bigger engine with a larger oil capacity you might want to go for the bigger oil extractor (6.9 quart), but the bigger one is physically quite a bit bigger and would be harder to store (would take up a lot more space). Bottom line, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

- Weather Resistant

Comments about Manual Oil Changer 2.85 Quart:
