The best part is the mounting bracket, makes it very easy if you have to reinstall a pitot tube in the future.

In 40+ years of boating, I have never broken a speedometer pitot tube, but on the last trailering, it happened. West Marine's replacement was easy to install on my 20-year old boat; the new holes in the attachment plate were placed and elongated perfectly so that new screw holes in the transom did not have to be drilled. Thank goodness for simple parts that work and fit perfectly, and West Marine has them!
