i was looking at the 16 or 18 gauge wire but it was more money so i went with just a little bit bigger still works and just just as easy to use
but i did just put it in 2 weeks ago so cant tell you how long it will last but so far works great

only complant when ther cut the wire they taped it together in like 15 spots so i had to remove a lot of tape ....it showed up on time and not a bad price
