The body is machined aluminum with 7+1 stainless steel bearings and Penn’s patented oversized HT-100 Versa-drag ensuring smoothness when it counts. An integral clutch sleeve eliminates backplay. The stainless steel bail uses a unique system to let the angler choose between manual and automatic trip at the touch of a switch. The high-capacity spools are braid-ready, so you know they’re tough enough for big fish.

Comments about Torque S7 Spinning Reels:
This reel is completely sealed in the same way as a van staal, has a drag system that is a good as or better than Shimano Stella or daiwa Saltiga; it has dual drags in the way of the top stellas. A durable gear box that a amateur could service. This reel is a winner, is it as smooth as a Stella or a Saltiga... Nope, but then again I would never dunk or sand either one of those reels. Finally an American reel that can compete easily with japan's best.
