Comments about Standard Safety Tether:
I'm a 300 pound gorilla. If I go overboard I need a tether the won't let me down to drown. I looked at the contracting/expanding tethers, but for a lesser price I got one that did not pull on my EFD, but rather fell slack so I don't even know it's there. But, I know it will be when it's needed. This beast could lift my yacht if it had to. Thanks, West Marine, for a great product at a great price.

Comments about Standard Safety Tether:
A previous reviewer complained about the cost of nylon webbing. Obviously they know nothing about the safety issues that result in the cost of safety tethers. If he wants to construct a cheap tether I hope he knows how to swim. You get what you pay for. And when it comes to safety, this tether is reasonably priced.

Comments about Standard Safety Tether:
There is no reason a nylon strap should cost [$]. More marine BS.
