Comments about 5.0 Marine Medical Kit:
Having undergone an accident last year where a simple first aid kit was insufficient, I needed something that could assist if a significant injury occured again.
The kit is exactly as described.

Comments about 5.0 Marine Medical Kit:
This kit is also made by Adventure Medical (they make the larger kits). This one contains the face shield for mouth-to-mouth and the splints. The smaller ones don't have these components. So to me this was the best value and contains the important items that every boater should have. It doesn't matter if help is an hour away if someone stops breathing or has a broken bone.
My wife is a Nurse Practitioner and a former ER nurse and thought the kit was excellent.

Comments about 5.0 Marine Medical Kit:
Rather comprehensive kit for minor injuries. Even for minor things, it puts your passengers at ease to see that you took the "safety" issue seriously. Also contains reorder info so that you can keep it all up-to-date. If you take take several guests out on your boat at a time, you really should have a kit that contains more than one or two things. It's still only the size of my kids' lunch pail.

Comments about 5.0 Marine Medical Kit:
Although USCG requirements stipulate the need for a first aid kit on board, as a weekend and cruising boater, a fully stocked first aid kit makes the difference between turning back or completing your trip.
- We used for simple cuts, scrapes, removing splinters
- The medicines were also used as dicated by a doctor when our son was ill on a week long cruise, he felt better the follwing day
- when someone fell off the dock, we had our kit with the CPR kit ready if needed
We have seen many boaters carry a few bandaid's in a plastic kit to meet requirments. It is a relatively small investment to have a more capable kit. Our first aid kit is always there and has been used numerous times this season, which leads to the overall reason why we boat. To have a safe and enjoyable time on the water.
