Caddo Lake is an impoundment of the Big Cypress Bayou and is located on border of Texas and Louisiana, with approximately half of the lake residing in each state. The lake is extremly fertile and contains vast amounts of vegetation, offering prime habitat for all gamefish species. The lake is not very deep, with an average depth just under 5 feet.
