Comments about Replacement Turnbuckle Screws:
The jobber that West Marine uses provides something that looks like the real thing but is worse than close. The treads are fine and the stud has standard 15.5" length but both examples I have purchased have 59/128" or 11.5mm between the flats....
Find a wrench to tighten that stay!
I strongly recommend NOT to buy unless they switch to a supplier that has better quality control and have a dimension, if not that of the original (7/16 on my boat) then at least one that fits a standard wrench.
The screw is fine if you don't care and don't mind using something like a vice grip on standing rigging.
I would return them if it were not for the hassle
