Comments about Handbook of Offshore Cruising:
This book was written in 1994 and updated in 2000 and still contains many of the original 1994 drawings. Much of it is almost 20 years old. I found it to be of little use as a modern offshore reference. For example, the section on cabin lighting consists of two pargraphs and talks about flourescent tubes. No modern conversation on cabin lighting for extended offshore cruising should be without a discussion on LED's, but again this book was first written in 1994.
