We've had this particular set full time for maybe four years of liveaboard usage and cruising. They stain up a bit (after years), the plastic non-slip on the bottom starts to go (after years), and every now and again the little knobs on the bottom create a pivot put when you're cutting something and the plate slips.
All that being said, they might not be perfect, but they're the best that I've been able to find.

Gave this as a gift to my brother for his sail boat. The first time we used it we were there with him. We were out at sea in some good swells and eatting was not a problem off of them. You didn't have to hold on to your plate or cup. Every boat should have this non-slip dinnerware. We were quite impressed with it. The navigational design was fun too.

Classic style and design. Its a lot to pay for plastic plates and cups but the little nonslip knobs on the bottom make it so very functional for boating that it is worth the extra $.
