I live aboard at anchor 4=5 months per year in southern Caribbean and use the dinghy as my SUV, going to shore 3 or 4 times a day and landing on the beach. This gadget allows me to drive to the beach, hop out while holding a long bow line, then let the "Buddy" pull the dink safely back out of the surf while I tie off to something on shore. When I'm ready I just pull the dink back in, hop in and retrieve the "Buddy". After two seasons of hard use not surprisingly the bungee finally snapped so I've ordered another Buddy. Only negative is that the hardware is cheap galvanized stuff that quickly corrodes in a salt environment. GET ONE!!

Saves my gel coat by allowing me to anchor and vist nearby islands without having to beach my boat. Wish I would have bought one last season.

This is one of those products that make you think "why didn't I think of that!"
I anchored my boat for 4 days in an area with tides of 5 to 7 feet. The only problem that I had was due to the bottom slope...ended up having to use 2 anchor buddies to get enough stretch to keep my boat in the deep water and still be able to pull it all the way to the beach.
