Comments about Quicksilver High Performance Gear Lube:
Well you live...you learn. Just bought two quarts of this stuff for my outdrive from the West Marine Store in Olympia, WA at [$]ea and the hand pump was [$]compared to[$] online. add in the motor oil total price came to [$]. More than enough for the free shipping for purchases over $49. Guess it's the price you pay if you don't want to wait a couple days. As I looked around I was seeing that most everything cost more in the store than it does online.
Pros
- Conveinant
- Easy to Use
Cons
Best Uses
- Topping off L unit
Comments about Quicksilver High Performance Gear Lube:
This small tube is great for topping off your Mercury lower unit. The actual container will not expand to allow you to refill it from a qt. so if you need more than 10oz. buy the quarts and also get a small cheap hand pump, allot easier.

Comments about Quicksilver High Performance Gear Lube:
Recommended for the Mercury lower unit. It was a good price for 1 bottle. My L unit only requires about 22 oz. ,so this 1 bottle was enough to do a gear lube change. Recommend you have a cheap hand pump though.

Comments about Quicksilver High Performance Gear Lube:
I refuse to use anything but OEM parts and manufacturer-recommended fluids and lubes in my Mercury Optimax. HP gear lube provides maximum protection for my outboard, which sees considerable use every season.
