Battery monitoring system for deep cycle batteries
Battery Bug DCM provides a clear digital window into battery age and capacity. Much more than a mere volt meter, the BB-DCM display shows “lost capacity” and “% life remaining” in addition to charge level. Patented Large Pulse Resistance™ is the only technology to provide this critical data.
Optimize performance and extend battery life
Deep Cycle batteries supply electric power for extended periods of time. It is often critical to understand just how much energy is in a battery so you can use it with confidence or know when to recharge. The microprocessor of the BB-DCM series uses patented LPR to measure battery internal resistance every minute and calculates available stored energy. An analog "battery fuel gauge" indicates the present capacity of the battery. Visual icons and audible alarms indicate when it is time to recharge.
Replace your battery before it fails
Even a well-maintained battery loses capacity over time and eventually it will not be able to store enough energy to do its job. The BB-DCM is the first and only monitor to track battery state of health deterioration while the battery is in use. When storage capability drops to a critical level, visual and audible alarms warn you to replace the battery.
The BB-DCM mounts in seconds to the battery surface and connects to the battery terminals. The information-packed LCD display shows battery state of charge (energy fuel gauge), state of health / battery life, and battery voltage. Visual and audible alarms indicate low charge / recharge, and end of life / replace battery conditions.

The BB-DCM family is designed to be installed on a single battery, 12V batteries in series, or up to four parallel 12V deep cycle batteries.
BB-DCM12-WET is designed for individual flooded lead acid batteries up to 150AmpHours.

Terrible product. First of all, Argus is packaging discontinued units in new packaging. Ordered the AGM version of the Battery Bug (BB-SBM12-AGM) and they sent me the (BB-SBM12-300), a discontinued version, in the AGM version packaging. Not only that, it doesn't work: on a brand new battery, either shows an error (Err-01) or the battery intially charged then slowly reduces the reading until it shows "recharge" battery when it is still fully charged. Don't waste your money! Wet cell version doesn't work either. Pay the extra money and get a real battery monitor.

The only reason I'm not giving this a 5 star because it would be nice if you could mount this remotely. Due to the limitations of current through a wire, I don't think that's possible. This product is great. It's my second one (two different batteries). It does exactly what it is supposed to do, and it's a high quality unit. Costly, but you get what you pay for. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

After downsizing the electrical system on my small custom fishing boat I had given up the volt and ammeters I had previously relied on to monitor my battery state. The Battery Bug is a simple device that, had I known of it sooner, would have been my choice in the first place!
