-50°F Engine & Water System Antifreeze
- Provides burst protection to -50°F (-46°C) and freeze protection within a range of +12°F to +16°F (-11°C to -9°C)
- When testing with a refractometer or hydrometer designed for use with propylene glycol, freeze point readings on the PG scale will range from +12°F to +16°F
Note: The burst point of PVC pipes used in most drinking water systems is about -10°F (-23°C). When winterizing water systems in regions where temperatures can fall below -10°F (-23°C), we recommend using West Marine Pure Oceans -100°F (-73°C) Marine Antifreeze.

Just went down to the boat today to find frozen water in the bilge and in the head. In the head, the pink water was frozen to a slush after less than two days of below freezing temperatures. The bildge may have been diluted, but the water in the head was pure antifreeze. I am now concerned that the engine and other areas with water are not protected.

The antifreeze is a fine product and well worth the price. I am a northeast boater in Long Island and have had several boats throughout the years. Presently I own a 1979 Penn Yan with an 88 Merc engine. The antifreeze is an integral part to winterizing a boat and this year I am winterizing the boat on December 2. Yes, a little late but better late than never and of course it is before the first freeze. Please make sure you winterize your boat!

I have used this anti freeze for years and I have found that West Marine has the best deals. I use it for the engine, water system and the waste system and it works great.
