Comments about Stainless Steel Square Bend U Bolt Sets:
I was using these bolts with the CE Smith Bolster Swivel brackets
Stainless is too soft to keep bunks from dropping down on I-beams.
I set all the stainless U bolts with my torque wrench and just didn't feel confident with the limited torque you can place on stainless bolts. Made it less than a mile before the first bunk failed and dropped down onto my safety wedge of wood.
It was a good thing I was paranoid as without the wood wedged under the bunk, my sailboat would have been in the street.
Turned around re-floated the boat and swapped out the stainless square end U bolt with 1/2" grade eight square end U bolts and towed the boat 150 miles no problem.
My advice if you need stainless, double the number of bunk supports you are planning.
