the controller shorted out and thruster went on without unit being turned on. unit is only 3 yrs old. thruster functions well for parking boat.

This is the second Lewmar electric Thruster controller I had to install. My original which is a little less than 2 years old failed. My replacement which I purchased from West Marine failed in one week. The starboard green light is out.
