I went to a ACBS workshop. They showed how to change packing. The packing on my Resorter has needed replaced for years. I did not know how to do it. Easy job. Took the old boat out yesterday for a 25 mile cruise on Truman Lake and the packing did not leak. Now I need to replace the rudder packing. But have to move the gas tank....
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Brand new shaft log had been leaking for a while. Mfg rep said flax should be 5/16". Replaced existing with this low cost alternative and the leak stopped immediately
