Comments about Electro Magnetic Float Switch:
The small footprint was useful for me. It failed right after the 3 year warranty. Would have replaced with same model but local store doesn't carry it so had to get a mechanical one. Didn't want to leave the boat with no automatic bilge pump for 2 weeks.
Pros
- Easy To Install
- Lots of mounting options
Cons
Best Uses
- Bildge
Comments about Electro Magnetic Float Switch:
My application was for a small "V" at the bottom of the hull. I had less than a 1 1/2" to work with. I removed the bottom mounting plate of the switch and inserted within a inch of the bottom. I used a hanging support to keep it positioned. This instalation successfully reduced 2" of water from the bilge. The switch performs flawlessly. Don't forget to put a filter on your pickup hose.

Comments about Electro Magnetic Float Switch:
Replaced Mayfair brand with Johnson, who made original model. This one comes with a ground wire which Mayfair did not have. Must connect to metal part in order to run. Tests good.
