I tried several Blacktip products for saltwater fishing and they all rusted quickly. I maintained them well cleaning and oiling after every use but unsuccessful bad product lines

I bought a pair and within a year they rusted like cheap $5.00 pliers. I used them in a salt water environment but stored them in the garage. Needless to say I am very disappointed in their performance. I can't believe they sell for [$] This product is very overrated. If you buy make sure you save your receipt and the package, you'll need them. West Marine is excited to be introducing this product line and is now running a You Tube video on their web site about how noncorrosive they are. Buyer Beware, it just ain't so.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
