Comments about BBEK Epoxy Drum Kit:
I use this product to infuse 50 hulls in one shot, beams and other items. I am a marine professional.
The product is high quality. You get less of it than any other epoxy drum you can buy (45 gallons instead of 55, for much more money) but the epoxy in the drum is good.
Using it, however, is another story. It comes with no instructions. See the other section of the review to find out about the customer support. Without instructions, the product is very difficult to use compared to others. You actually are left to guess what to do with the hardener as compared to others that tell you what temperature to vary things at.
Service and delivery comments:
I had some problems with MAS epoxy as a company. They would not give me any data on what hardener combo to use at various temperatures.
They only give a ratio for the 3 part mix for 77F, so there is no way to vary the kick rate as the temperature of the shop changes unless you just guess, which is what I had to do. Scary when you are infusing a 50 foot hull in one shot.
I wanted information like every other epoxy vendor gives that says what to do with the hardener at various temperatures.
They refused. When I complained about it on a boat building forum, they came on there, created multiple accounts to attack me and said I have no idea how to infuse, despite having just completed a 50' hull in a single infusion.
Worst product support I have experienced in my entire life.
Virtually any other epoxy company would be better. I have used several other brands and the companies were great.
Do not buy this epoxy and expect actual technical support or instructions. They do not provide any.
