Comments about Three Strand Nylon Mooring Pendants:
After looking at all the Mooring Rigging Set ups at the Marina. I found that all the Buoys had DOUBLE pendant lines attached to bouy with a Sling Link. Then 1 shackle that attaches from that link to the chain. They all used pendants attached to either a sling link or round galvinized ring. Double pendants consist of two standard single pendants connected by a galvanized sling link at the base. This is a single stock mooring pendant. They should really sell a Double for more strength.
Pros
Cons
- Poor Design
Best Uses
- Small Boats
Comments about Three Strand Nylon Mooring Pendants:
If west marine wanted to make alot of money they should carry these lines attached to a Hot Dipped Sling ring. This would avoid extra shackles and your Buoy from getting beat up!!.
Pros
- Holds Boat Securely
Cons
Best Uses
- Open Water
