In an emergency, it transmits your registered, digitally-coded distress message with a powerful 6 watt, 406MHz signal. Integrated 121.5MHz homing signal guides local Search and Rescue efforts. Optional NMEA 0183 GPS interface cable (sold separately) connects the Satellite3 406™ to your vessel’s GPS receiver to continuously update and store precise position data.

GPS positioning provides SAR notification typically within 2-15 minutes (without GPS position data, the time-to-notification is typically within one hour). New feature also allows you to send “I’m OK” messages with optional 406Link.com non-emergency messaging service. Includes either fully enclosed automatic Category I Sea Shelter3™ bracket or low-profile manual Category II QuickDraw™ bracket that is easy to rail mount or secure on deck. Bright LED strobe conserves battery power without sacrificing intensity. Full-functioning self-test including battery voltage and internal circuitry.
