Description

In the marine environment where motion and moisture are a constant, loose connections or corrosion can easily lead to overheating and shorting of shore power connectors. The SmartPlug’s patented sleeve, multi-point locking system and straight contact blade design creates a solid, sealed connection with a 20% greater surface area than traditional twist-style connectors. Much easier to orient, especially in the dark, the SmartPlug’s three-blade inlet can only be plugged in one way to form a firm connection that can be both felt and heard, with no twisting required to secure boatside connector Triple weatherproof seals at the inlet, connector and cord guard against water intrusion and corrosion to ensure a safe and dry connection.

Boatside inlet (Model 11697042) with stainless-steel drop-down cover installs into a standard four-hole mount and includes an auto-resetting trip thermostat that cuts power at the first sign of overheating.

Connector (Model 11697059) features dual side-locking levers to resist movement or tension in the cord and easily retrofits onto your existing cordset using only basic tools.

Complete kit (Model 11697034) includes both the inlet and connector, gives you everything you need to adapt your boat and existing power cord for docking at marinas with twist-style connections.
