Comments about Men's Ventus Boots:
This boot is good looking, comfortable and warm. HOWEVER, it is not waterproof, which is something one sort of expects in a sailing boot. You will have wet feet if it is raining even if you don't immerse your feet in water.

Comments about Men's Ventus Boots:
First order was a half size larger then my shoe size and couldn't get boot on even without socks. Second order was a size and half larger and can only get on barefoot or with the thinnest of socks.

Comments about Men's Ventus Boots:
I was initially very happy to replace my weathered Sperry Waterproof Fathoms with these racy boots but after standing in 4 inches of bilge-water for about a minute, I had that not-so-good squishy feeling in my sock. Taking the boot off, I found my sock to be soaked on top of the toes and on top of the forefoot, as well as the top of the heel.
I am sadly returning these tomorrow.

Comments about Men's Ventus Boots:
I tried these boots and initially was very happy with how they felt. However, after standing in maybe 2" of water, the boots leaked and water entered under the flap into the boots and within a very short time my feet were wet. It took more than 24 hours of drying to get the boots dry at home in the heated bathroom. The interior just absorbed so much water it took so long to dry.I was quite disappointed and returned the boots.[...]

- Not floppy feeling
Cons
Best Uses
- Wet-weather sailing
Comments about Men's Ventus Boots:
Good for wet weather sailing. Good grip on deck. Not a floppy feeling boot; fits comfortably and snuggly with just a pair of warm socks. True to size. The fact that it's a good looking boot is a bonus. Not sure yet how the velcro performance will hold up over time, especially in the salt water environment, but I like the custom fitted feeling one gets with the velcro closure.
