The ultimate outboard for boaters on green lakes and sailors who prefer quiet electric propulsion: Torqeedo Cruise models are in a class of their own when it comes to power and efficiency. Due to the use of a highly efficient rare earth magnet torque motor, electronics and gear package, Torqeedo Cruise models deliver up to twice the range from the same battery supply compared to other popular electric motors. The Cruise 4.0R model delivers the thrust of a 10 hp gas outboard. (Battery not included, must be purchased separately).

Comments about Cruise 4.0R (Remotely Steered) Outboard, Long Shaft:
I do not recommend that you ever buy. We used it one week and it hit a small stick and water entered its cheap housing. Because of this Torqeedo says they will not pay to have it fixed which would cost $2101.29. Entire investment is a pure WASTE! BTW when we first called they said they would fix it so we spent almost $200 mailing it in to get it fixed. More money down the drain!
