Comments about Zinc Rudder & Trim Anodes (with hex head machine screw):
These install easily.
I used them to protect the trim tabs on my boat, but they are suitable for rudder protection as well, depending on the size of your rudders.
After removing the old anodes, be sure to clean the mounting area. I use a brass brush in a drill to do this, and it works great.
If you paint your trim tabs or rudders, mask off the outer surface of the anodes prior to installing them. After they are installed you can paint the trim tabs or rudders, let them dry, and then remove the masking tape to reveal the clean anodes.
Requires an appropriate allen wrench to install. Use blue Locktite on the bolt prior to tightening them. I would have rated these five stars had the bolts been pre-coated with Locktite.
Durability not evaluated. Local conditions will determine the actual life of your anodes. Check them regularly, and replace them every year, regardless of their condition.

Comments about Zinc Rudder & Trim Anodes (with hex head machine screw):
These install easily.
Clean the surface to be protected before installing. A brass brush in a power drill works wonderfully.
If you paint your rudders with anti-fouling coatings, be sure to mask off the anodes before installing them. I mask them off and use a razor to trim the excess tape from the perimeter of the anodes before installing them. Makes painting the rudders a snap, and you peel off the masking tape after the paint dries to reveal the clean anodes.
Use blue Locktite on the threads. I would have rated these 5 stars had the bolts been pre-coated with Locktite.
Requires an appropriate sized allen wrench to install them. Tighten securely and replace them annually.
Not evaluated for durability. Remember, conditions in your marina will determine the life of these anodes.
