DC Electrical Panels
Integrated bus bars and simple two-wire connection eliminates wiring harness clutter behind panel. Polycarbonate/ABS panels cannot corrode, are flame retardant and feature LED illuminated ON indication. Carling™ 15A circuit breakers are reset by simply switching the breaker off, then on again. Installation requires placement of an in-line fuse with a maximum rating of 60A between the power source and the panel’s positive buss.
To further reduce wiring clutter consider the MAXI™ Fuse Block (Model 594343), which accommodates tab-style automotive blade fuses from 30A to 80A in its easily mounted, insulated case. Designed for mounting in dry locations. Panels include mounting hardware and 15 preprinted, common circuit name labels. Over 500 additional square format labels are available by Special Order.

I used two of these panels to replace the OEM fused switch panels in my 1980 Catalina 30. It was easy to rewire the existing leads using heat shrunk crimp connectors which I also soldered to ensure better reliability of the connections. I also included in-line 20amp fuses in the feed to each panel as a belt and suspenders move. The panels also exactly fitted the area of the panel used by the old switch panels and gave me two additional circuits which was very useful. The panels give a very neat appearance and the built in LEDs are great. It woud have been nice to have a few more different labels and possibly put the LEDs behind the labels to back light them but hey for the price these are hard to beat. Just remains to be seen how relieble these are long term.
