      Comments about Panther Safe Skeg:

I bought this because it was the only one that West Marine offered and I was already ordering something from them. It was rather pricey compared to others around, but decided to buy it any way. The nuts that hold the unit in place are too short. I ordered it for my Bravo 3. Pretty standard drive.
It came with 4 nut and bolt combos. 2 short and 2 longer. Neither one would meet in the front hole. Is my Bravo 3 skeg fatter than most? Doubt it. The threads wouldn't even meet. I put a clamp on it to sqeeze the sides together, still wouldn't meet. Now I have to try to track down a stainlees low profile nut and bolt combo with shoulders on it. What a pain. Other than that it looks like a nice unit, but without the proper bolts, it is useless.
