Sailing is not a pastime activity anymore; it's a lifestyle and in many cases a rather expensive hobby. With a C-Pod installed you will have your own Yacht Management System, where you can survey and manage your yacht via the web or mobile phone. The C-Pod is your “eyes and ears” onboard. Should something occur onboard, such as battery shortage, high water level, intrusion or fire, you will receive a notification instantly.
You can also use C-Pod to remotely switch on equipment such as heaters or a refrigerator. All communication is managed through a central server and you can choose recipients of the alarms or warnings, which ensures that you never miss them.

The product itself is ok, as long at it worked.
Service and delivery comments:
Cobra customer service is a nightmare. I will never ever buy anything from them again. My Cpod worked fine 2 months, then stopped communicating to my cell phone. The customer service person is not answering to phone calls/emails/voicemails end neither is the persons supervisor. This was a total waste of money.

Installation was quick and the functionality beats my expectations. I have a small to normal size boat and C-pod saved it twice by warnings of high water level.

Seems to be working well after some initial challenges getting it registered with the server. PRO: works as advertised so far; pretty much "plug and play" CONs: limited support from Cobra initially; accessories are expensive and it adds up quickly--do the math before you dive in; it is not clear what the long term monthly service charges are. There is an odd "credit" system that is not well described.

It is giving a constant false alarm, and I can't get Cobra to respond after more than 5 phone calls. Finally got a live person in Customer Service and they told me there is only one person on staff who can answer C-Pod questions, and they are not available.

After a lot of research on GPS tracking devices I found C-Pod at the Lauderdale Boat Show. Meets all my expectations and then some. Easy to install and a very cool user friendly web site to work with. I'm glad I ran into it and hope they have success. I feel safer already that I know where my boat is at all times.
