The Elite-5 brings you high performance and brilliant color without a high price. The brilliant SolarMAX™ 256-color TFT display has unmatched screen brightness, contrast, resolution and viewing detail at wider angles and in bright sunlight. Adjustable screen and keypad backlight ensure optimal visibility day or night. Choose the Fishfinder/Chartplotter Combo, and the sounder reaches to a depth of 1,000' with its included dual-frequency transom-mount transducer with internal temp sensor and up to 120° of wider sonar coverage. Unique TrackBack™ feature offers immediate scroll-back to review multiple pages of fishfinder history. Both the Combo and Elite-5m Chartplotter-only versions include the internal 16-channel GPS for precision navigating. An LGC-16W external GPS option is also available for customized applications. A waterproof microSD memory card slot is ready for Navionics® Gold chartcards, Fishing Hot Spots® or LakeMaster® mapcards. Easy-to-use menus with Advanced Mode expand the feature selection. New mounting style features easy one-hand tilt/swivel view adjustment, removal and re-installation. It even fits the same cut-out and connectors for previous Lowrance 5" models to simplify upgrades.

Excellent product as for the fishfinder and chartplotter goes but the mount needs to be improved. Mine stripped out all the plastic notches in the up & down pivot adjustment the first trip out in choppy water. I ended up drilling out the center hole in the adjustment on each side and putting a 1/8" machine screw with flat and star washers, no problems yet. Just a bad design that needs improving.

Great unit for the price adding the rebate factor of $100.00. Very easy to navigate thru the menus and very straight forward operation. The only thing I wish this unit had was a NEMA 2000 interface to connect to my ETEC outboard engine.
