I use it saltwater fishing great for bottom viewing finding those lingcod spots
Seeing if its sand gravel or rock bellow and depth haven't hung
up a downrigger since I got it no fish alerts but the depth alarm works perfectly

Comments about Mark 5x DSI Fishfinder:
Great for looking at the bottom for fish beds and structures. Does not show fish "arches" but "small dots or big dots"[...] Has NO alarms per rep. You must watch it to find the fish. Manual is generic for the MARK and ELITE lines with poor differentiation between the products. Definitely not what I was expecting and used to using. Will have to use another finder with this one to provide the auditory help sometimes need when you want to fish without having to stare at a screen.
