Snatch blocks are one of the most versatile tools available for racing or cruising. The flexibility of these blocks makes them ideal for use as Genoa leads, spinnaker controls, or short sheet leads for jibs.
Investment cast snap shackle head attaches to the block with a ball joint swivel. This permits 360 degrees rotation with a 15 degree tilting action, allowing the block to be fastened quickly to a deck pad eye, stanchion base, or toe rail track. The key feature however, is that the block cage can be opened allowing a line to be inserted at any point, rather than being reeved (run through the end) as with conventional blocs.
Schaefer's snatch blocks feature the rugged construction and ease of operation needed to make your sailing easier and safer.
