Description



World renowned and the topside of choice for millions of boaters, Z*Spar Enamel is a modified long oil alkyd of exceptional all-around durability. Z*Spar Enamel is a superb finish for all topside surfaces of wood, metal or fiberglass. In general, these paints do not contain UV absorbers. They have high gloss and color retention, but not as high as polyurethanes.

  • Traditional oil-based paints
  • Easiest for the amateur to apply using a brush
  • More compatible with underlying surfaces than polyurethanes
  • Most economical, and least fussy in terms of how they are applied

    I like Petit paints, although I've only used their Topside / glossy paint for gloss finish. As a driveway spray painter, I like the old-school chemistry for easy handling and less-lethal chemicals. I couldn't find a "Shipendec" color chart on the WM site, so try here:
