I will echo the fading comment. I also had the tan shorts they faded shortly after first pool swim. Left them somewhere between Light pink and flesh color. I purchased the blue ones next because I am happy with the fit and comfort of the shorts. Blue color does not fade as bad.

I saw someone gave these a bad review and I actually came to this site to find another pair....best trunks I've found in years....West Marine needs to add more of the offered colors though.

I wore these to the beach and loved the way they looked. The Con at the beach was the pockets. They did not drain adequately and filled with water weighing you down immediately. Still, they were stylish and I liked the overall look of them.
Alas, I wore them into a swimming pool... Big Mistake. The color zapped right out of them (the khaki colored ones) and looked as if I had sporadically dumped bleach all over them. I thought maybe the chlorine levels were too high but no one else's shorts did this, and I can't therefore give these shorts the benefit of the doubt.
