U-Joints connect the drive shaft from the engine to the drive unit and allow the drive to trim and tilt. Most U-joints come with grease fittings and should be lubricated annually. Style 18-2097 comes with a synthetic lubricant and does not need annual service. It can be a direct replacement in the same applications where 18-2174 is used.
