Comments about FCF Series Air Conditioner, FCF 16000 (115V):
Purchased unit less than 3 years ago. About 3 months ago it stopped working. The tech first had to solder in a port to check if the unit was low on Freon. It is unbelievable that it can't be serviced until you spend money to have a port installed. Are they manufacturing these as disposable units? It stopped working again this time they found a leak in the evaporator and the compressor is questionable. It will cost more than it is worth to fix.
