I purchased this vest for my dog, who is not a big fan of swimming or boating. Whenever we go to the lake, it's so hot and we usually have to pull her into the water to cool her down. Typically, she swims back to shore in a hurry and pouts for a while. This time, I put her in her vest and set her into the water and she was so happy. She swam around, played and didn't have to be forced in for a cool down. I think the added buoyancy helped her feel more comfortable and secure in the water. She also didn't seem to mind wearing it on the boat either.
