The soft pack makes it eazy to stow. The old models came with a hand held whistle as required by the Coast Guard this model does not.

Orion has a good reputation and the product appears to be of good quality. Didn't ship with the standard kit container, so I had to order it from their website which was a nuisance. [...] Glad to have the kit aboard tho.

slightly expired flares/ shells fired recently and performance was about less than 50% actually worked/ others not very bright. Might be OK for inshore but offshore SOLAS flares, etc... would be much safer
