Just purchased the 30" flagpole and mount kit today, and noticed a couple of things that are less than satisfactory. I mounted it on a 1" railing, but the mount did not tighten completely up, and left a small gap between the two pieces. When I put in the flagpole and tightened the set screw to the letter of the instructions, the pole is just flopping around in the mount.
It's attractive enough, does the job, but needs some better workmanship on the mount side, I think.

this mount was for a 7/8" to 1" rail..the flag staff fit loosely when mount was drawn up tight.
I highly do not reccomend purchasing this mount..

Excellent quality, rock solid at crusing speed (30 knots) and gusty winds. Fits great on 7/8 rail but does leave slight gap on 1" rail but not noticable from couple feet away.
